Free Anthony Randolph

D'antoni

Free Anthony Randolph. At least build up that trade value. How is Ronny Turiaf's beard getting more burn than A-Ran? Love them Knicks.

DUI NFL

What gives with all these DUI for NFL players.

I have 3 issues here.

#1 Don't drive drunk. Anyone.

#2 If drunk call a taxi. More importantly if you are an NFL player you are getting PAID. Hire a driver the nights you go out. If wanna-be Snookys all over NJ and Long Island can hire a limo I know you NFL dudes can afford it.

#3 What kind of cop arrests an NFL player. Pull him over, park the car, drive him home, get free tix or jerseys, extra fluff. Don't ruin your teams playoffs chances. I mean imagine he is another cop.

That's all.

Fantasy Hoops

Fantasy Hoops Time. I wish I could draft all the Knicks. I mean I could but I like to win.

Just a quick segway -The Knicks are so bad on so many levels that I'm proud of them. They are clearly 1 of the 3 worst pro sports franchises(Knicks, Clippers, Raiders) in the USA and have a real claim at being the most dysfunctional, which is quite the statement when Al Davis is in a conversation about dysfunction.

On to fantasy hoops. My big $$$ hoops draft was Wednesday night. 15 team, 1 keeper, 13 man rosters (5 g/5f/3c) NBA league. Pretty standard. But............wait for it Dino.......it's an auction format. Which is just awesome.

If you've never been in a fantasy sports league, get in.

If you've never done an auction league, upgrade yourselves. Because it's mega fun getting together face to face with a bunch of friends/sportsgeeks and drinking beer. Then bidding up Jermaine O'Neal or Jason Kendall or Marshawn Lynch so some other sod overpays for the aforementioned lumps and the ilk. Phrases such as "Did I say $4......on Darko, shit" or "I have no fucking idea why I just bought Carl Everett" are common. And that is, quite simply, hilarious.

The draft was out on Strong Island, Uniondale representing. In the shadows of the Coliseum that Dennis Potvin and Mike Bossy legends. Islanders suck.

I had really no plan. Which is always a great place to start, that way I never get frustrated at my inability to execute a gameplan. Just some dudes I was high on (Monta Ellis, Ariza, Al Jeff, Westbrook, Caron Butler, DeMarcus Cousins, Iggy and at least 1 Knick).
I felt good.
I felt better after a couple of big Red Stripes (BEER, BEER, BEER) and settled in to my seat at the draft.

Each team had 1 keeper and mine was Joakim Noah. Who is a beast, is half-Swedish (his mom is Miss Sweden 1978!!) and has the bloodlines of a champion, he won 2 at U of Florida and his dad Yannick Noah (who is an admitted pothead yeah baby, the Doc Ellis of Tennis) won the 1983 French Open in tennis. Cold Beer Report championship on the way.

Sometimes in these drafts prices just fall to you or run away from you and it helps to be flexible.

On that note in came Dirk Nowitzki, Brandon Roy, Bargnani and out went Westbrook, Cousins, Iggy, and a few Knicks (Amare, Wilson Chandler).

I did score some targets Caron Butler, Monta Ellis, and my Knick in Anthony Randolph.

It went reasonably well. Final outcome looks like this-

C Noah
C Bargnani
F Nowitzki
F Caron "Tough Juice" Butler
F DeJuan Blair (prerequisite Fat Dude)
F Drew Gooden
G Brandon Roy (Always ends up on my squad)
G Monta
G Ben Gordon
G Affalo

Reserves
G George Hill
C Cole Aldrich
F Anthony Randolph (Go Knicks or Go Trade)

That's it.

I feel good about it. Let me know. Feedback me sons and daughters.

I'll keep y'all posted about how this goes.

I'm out. Stepping into the bingzone.

More Beer Drinking Wednesday Food for Thought

This chart is hard to believe if you've ever been to the bleachers in Wrigley or the parking lot of an Eagles game. Step the game up people. We're doing our part. World Peace is cool but there is no way we should be losing the Cold Beer War 2. Especially after we whupped up on those Russians in War Games, Red Dawn (sort of Russians), Iron Eagle, the real Cold War, Cold Beer War 1 (see Russia down there in 4th spot, hahahaha who's laughing now Drago).

Drink Beer people. It goes great with food and sports.

And Wednesdays.

Jeff Wilpon

I was watching a Jeff Wilpon interview last night. What a putz.

It's like Jim Dolan and Peter Angelos had a baby and Jeff Wilpon was born. What a suckerbutt.

He clearly doesn't know baseball and yet he wants control, but he doesn't want accountability. Sounds just like most trustfund babies I know.
Get your own job Jeff.
In the meantime enjoy spending your daddy's $$$ writing Oli Perez's checks. You fools signed him. You Jeff. You signed him........

Maybe Minaya got the shaft in the end?

Or maybe it was the Mets fans that got the old shaft to the sprock....same old same old at Shea.
